Contact DownSub

Share feedback, request a supported caption source, report a bug, or ask a question about privacy and responsible subtitle use.

Use this form for supported-site requests, subtitle bugs, and copyright or privacy questions.

Contact DownSub any time you need help with a subtitle download, want to flag a bug, or have a question about privacy and responsible caption use. We read every message and reply from a real person, not an automated ticket queue.

What to include in a supported-site request

If you want DownSub to support a new video source, send the exact public URL you tested and what happened — no caption tracks found, wrong language, or a broken download. Sites only get added to the supported sites list after they’re tested against real public URLs and confirmed to return genuine subtitle cues, so a specific example speeds that up.

Reporting a subtitle bug

For a failed or incorrect download, include the video link, the format you chose (SRT, VTT, or TXT), and what went wrong. That’s usually enough to reproduce the issue without back-and-forth. See How It Works for the most common reasons a caption download can fail before you report — it may already explain what happened.

Privacy and responsible use questions

DownSub doesn’t require an account, so there’s no profile of your download history tied to an identity. If you have a specific question about how a particular download was handled, or about using captions responsibly under copyright and platform terms, this form is the right place to ask.

Before writing in, the FAQ answers most common questions about supported sites, formats, and account requirements — worth a quick check first.
